About Good Company Dogs

Our mission is to provide pet dog owners with an efficient, reliable service that proves a worthy and positive investment in the long term health and happiness of their pet.

Good company was born in 2020,  during a time when dogs were thrilled to see their owners at home more, yet disappointed to find that this did not lead to more outings and social adventures. We know how important socialization with both people and other dogs is for a dogs development. So we focus on that. Providing a safe and structured outlet for all that extra energy dogs have while allowing them to be free to play, walk, run and sniff with all their dog pals.  At Good Company Dogs we operate with a keen understanding of Dog Psychology and what it means to truly fulfill a dogs' needs while promoting a calm and balanced state of mind. We believe there is a really well behaved and balanced mind inside every dog and we aim to curate our services in a way that nurtures and rewards that.

We set up an initial meet and greet with you and your dog to ensure Good Company will be a good fit to meet your and your dogs needs. Every dog is met first and evaluated to asses which service is best for them.

You can be at ease knowing that safety for your pet and house is our highest priority. You will feel better knowing Good Company is fully licensed, insured and bonded. We are partnered with Pet Sitters Association to provide the best coverage should something happen big or small.

Good Company provides services to the following areas:

Dartmouth, New Bedford, Fairhaven and Mattapoisett.

Do not hesitate to ask about services regardless of where in the South Coast area you are located.

Casey is a Massachusetts native, avid outdoors enthusiast and big time DOG LOVER. After finishing at UMass Dartmouth in 2012, she took off to find new places to see and explore, landing first in Florida where she learned to Scuba Dive and became quite the snorkeler; she enjoyed living the beach life for a while until the Mountains eventually called her West. Next Stop, Colorado which gave her a whole new landscape to learn and grow. Colorado was hard to leave after four years of hard work, hiking, camping, and the best skiing she could have ever hoped for,  but it was time to plant some roots, right back at home on the South Coast of Massachusetts. Throughout her travels she befriended dogs every step of the way and was often the trusted Dog and House Sitter for many of the other locals and regulars at her Fine Dining restaurant job. Her friendly, calm and confident energy always has a way of making both people and their pups feel at ease. The daughter of an absolute clean freak, (Love You Mom!) people were always pleased to find their homes better than they left it.

So In 2020, with some help from Covid-19,  she left a long time career in Hospitality and dared to switch directions toward what she really loves, DOGS and The Outdoors. Casey worked first for a well respected dog walking company in Boston, she learned from some of the best, the ins and outs of dog-care. Well trained and ready she then introduced her business to her home region. Her familiarity and love for this area only makes the dogs even more comfortable with her. She noticed a deficit in ways for Dogs to get socialization during a time when people were being encouraged to socially distance, so she focused on building a Pack and integrated her love of Hiking.

More recently Casey has continued her education and training within the dog industry by completing an expansive course in Dog Psychology which really broadened her knowledge of how to best fulfill a dogs needs and balance their mind state. She has had success in behavior modification by working with humans cooperatively to help them become the Leader their dog needs. Casey curates training exercises tailored to combining the clients' goals, the dogs' needs and fun ways of enriching their lives together. Casey has also added a training forward focus on the walks and hikes in order to help better mentally stimulate the dogs during the physical exercise.

Casey has a knack for creating healthy relationships with her clients and their pets. Passion is what fuels her business while honesty and transparency make her clients feel reassured that their pets are in the best company possible when in her care. She demonstrates patience and understanding while her confident attitude creates an ideal environment for dogs to feel structured and safe. From puppies to mature adult dogs, she develops a relationship with each dog based on trust and an understanding of their individuality and personality. She allows dogs to be dogs within the realm of what is appropriate and they seem to appreciate her confident and casual style of pack leadership. In her off time Casey enjoys anything outdoors, especially playing in her garden and when indoors you will find her reading, redoing old furniture and fermenting whatever foods she can get her hands on.
